Turn any local device into a timer remote.
Use an iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or tablet as a remote controller, confidence monitor, or clean display. Everything runs on the same local network and access is protected by the EzyTimer PIN.
Put devices on the same network
Connect the iPad or phone to the same venue Wi-Fi, router, or laptop hotspot as the Windows 11 EzyTimer laptop. Use the laptop hotspot if venue Wi-Fi is unreliable, and keep the laptop awake and plugged in.
Open the remote link
Use the QR code or local network URL shown inside EzyTimer to open the remote page on the mobile device. If the page does not open, check Wi-Fi and firewall prompts, and keep the browser tab open during rehearsal.
Enter the EzyTimer PIN
Remote control is PIN-gated so random devices in the room cannot drive your show timer. Only enable full remote control when you need it, and disable it after the show if the network is shared.

If the remote device will not connect, work this checklist before blaming the iPad — tiny network gremlins love show days.
- Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot.
- Allow Windows firewall prompts for EzyTimer on the show laptop.
- Run Run Show Ready check… and review the Network row.
- If the venue network blocks device-to-device traffic, switch to the laptop hotspot or a small dedicated router.
