Install guide
For: Windows 11 show laptops · EzyTimer v1.9.0
Best practice: install and test EzyTimer before show day. The timer runs locally, but license activation, update checks, and installer downloads need internet access.
1. Install EzyTimer
- Download or request the current installer:
EzyTimer-Setup-1.9.0.exe. - Run the installer as a Windows administrator when prompted.
- Keep the default per-machine install option so the virtual camera can register correctly.
- Launch EzyTimer from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
2. Activate or start the trial
- When prompted, enter your license key, or continue with the 14-day trial if available.
- Activation is online once; live event operation is designed to work locally afterward.
- If activation fails, check internet access and email support with your diagnostic report.
3. First show setup
Controller
Open the timer controller, load your speaker line-up, then save or export the event file.
Display
Open the full-screen display on the room screen or confidence monitor and choose your theme.
Overlay
Use the tray menu to show or hide the presenter overlay. It starts hidden on launch by design.
Show Ready
Run "Show Ready" from the tray or controller before doors open to check camera, overlay, network, and recovery.
4. Use EzyTimer as a Zoom or Teams camera
- Start EzyTimer first.
- Open Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- In camera settings, choose EzyTimer as the camera source.
- If it does not appear, use the tray menu: Reset camera system…, then reopen the camera selector.
5. If something looks wrong
- Use Run Show Ready check… from the tray.
- Use Save diagnostic report… before emailing support.
- Use Open log folder… if support asks for the rolling log file.
- Restart Zoom/Teams after camera changes; some meeting apps cache camera devices.
6. Updating
Use the tray menu item Check for updates…. EzyTimer checks the release manifest and shows the latest version and installer checksum.
