Keep the show pack portable.
EzyTimer event files are designed for the boring-but-critical job: getting the same agenda, theme, messages, and client branding back onto the show laptop when a room gets chaotic.
Manual event export
Use this before doors open and before moving to another laptop. Save one copy on the show laptop, save a second copy on a USB stick or shared drive, and export after final agenda changes, theme choices, and event-logo setup.
Auto-save event files
EzyTimer can write rolling event files every minute. Auto-save is enabled by default; the latest five are kept in an autosaves folder next to the app, named after the event.
Recovery snapshots
Recovery protects the currently running show if the controller closes or refreshes. Browser and server recovery layers are checked by Show Ready. After an interruption, EzyTimer can pause, continue using elapsed wall time, or reset interrupted timers.
With the event
Agenda, theme, messages, background, Custom themes, and Event logo all travel inside the saved event file.
Stays on the device
Finish sounds stay local so event files do not become huge. Keep any audio files separately if you are moving machines.
Support evidence
Diagnostic reports are different from event files. Use Save diagnostic report… when support needs app, system, license, server, overlay, camera, release, and recent log details.
Backup rule for show day. After the agenda is final, export an event file, copy it somewhere off the laptop, then run Show Ready. Auto-save and recovery are safety nets; the manual event export is your deliberate show pack.
