System requirements
EzyTimer is built for Windows 11 show laptops. Install and test on the exact machine you plan to use before show day.
Required
Operating system
Windows 11, 64-bit. Earlier Windows versions are not the supported target for the current installer.
Install permissions
Administrator permission during install is recommended so the per-machine app and EzyTimer virtual camera register correctly.
Storage
At least 500 MB free for the app, bundled runtime components, logs, diagnostics, and event files.
Network
Local network access is needed for iPad/phone remote control and local display devices. Internet is needed for activation and update checks.
Recommended show laptop
- Modern Intel or AMD laptop with 8 GB RAM or more.
- AC power connected during events, with sleep disabled while plugged in.
- Stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet if using iPad/phone remotes.
- External display output tested with the venue screen or confidence monitor.
Virtual camera
- The EzyTimer virtual camera is for Windows 11 video apps such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Start EzyTimer before opening the meeting app camera selector.
- If the camera is missing, use tray Reset camera system…, then reopen the camera selector.
- Some meeting apps cache device lists; restarting Zoom or Teams may be required after install.
Offline operation
After activation, EzyTimer is designed to run locally for live events. Event timing, displays, overlays, recovery, and local remotes do not require internet. License activation, update checks, downloads, and email support do require internet.
Pre-show check
Before doors open, run Run Show Ready check… from the tray or use Show Ready in the controller. It checks camera, overlay, recovery, network, and power-readiness signals.
